What is a fan? What can a fan accomplish? Answer: ■■■■■■■□□□ 70%

tw: death As many of you know, I’ve been severely under-rested and have been overconsuming caffeine to keep up with my grueling work schedule. I won’t go into detail, but right after Found Futures, I collapsed on stage during tear-down and had a near death experience. This has been a sobering event that has rewired my brain. I’ve become painfully aware of my mortality, of my limitations. Since the incident, I’ve seemingly lost both my internal dialogue as well as my ability to hear music in my mind; my brain would constantly be composing music in the background of my life, but following the incident it turned dead silent. Doing things like yapping with my stargazers and going to the beach has gradually brought back my internal voice/ear. It’s still a little quiet, but I think with more rest and healing it will come back. I’m retreating into the desert soon to go stargazing and I’m hoping that will bring it back 100%. Overworking is real and it is so, so dangerous, especially as we get older. There’s still so much I want to do. I want to see Halley’s Comet. I want to make so much more music and memories with my dearest stargazers. I have so much to learn about self-care 😔 but I’m doing my best ~
