@aIIaboutaII @patdafenet And one of his hands is not holding the spoon he's supposedly stirring the food with.
Real cartoonists need to keep their jobs. 😄

@john_a_lauro @ftmetalhead "very" is subjective. Someone could be very sensitive to feel, but even more sensitive to look. Extreme example: Nudity or just underwear might feel more comfortable than an itchy sweater, but the sweater probably looks much better for going where other people can see.
English

@ftmetalhead The statements are very related. Would you really answer them differently? If the first is false, then why would the second be true? If the first is true, then the second is also true or you are not really as sensitive as you first claimed.

@houseofmousecat @EdGeeDetroiter @RepNancyMace By your logic, do you think all criminals' children are banned from being born into citizenship?
English

@EdGeeDetroiter @RepNancyMace "and subject to the jurisdiction"... Illegal aliens are not subject to a jurisdiction. They are breaking the laws of the jurisdiction.
English

@JayDubbTX @EdGeeDetroiter @RepNancyMace If they're in the US, they are subject to the jurisdiction of the US, unless you believe US law does not apply to them
English

@EdGeeDetroiter @RepNancyMace “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof”
They are citizens of their home country, not the US.
Quit cherry picking the couple of words you want, ffs.

@RatoneroGris_ @467Doggo The suit wasn't the wheelchair, the suit was from a power up
English

@467Doggo If Spy-Kids 3D: Game Over is an indication, yes, they would get a cool mech like bodysuit that would allow them to run again

@BrianMG98472392 @_ema_nuel Why didn't he airbend the fumes away?
English

@_ema_nuel Could've maybe at his peak but he was 70 years old, didn't had an unnatural life span as Kyoshi and concentrated a lot of energy in evacuating the island first
Also the toxic fumes were affecting him from the get go
English

@Goatfather111 @Mcclainseanm @simongerman600 Most likely, unless I ate a good lunch and/or dinner within a few hours before right now.
English

@SeabassJames @Mcclainseanm @simongerman600 If you didn't eat breakfast this morning would you feel hungry right now?
English

@Goatfather111 @Mcclainseanm @simongerman600 I don't think an above average murder and non-negligent manslaughter rate is exceptionally polite
English

@SeabassJames @Mcclainseanm @simongerman600 What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

English

@Mcclainseanm @Goatfather111 @simongerman600 What do superpowers represent in this analogy? If the lamb has superpowers, then why does it need the right to bear arms? If the superpowers are something that can be obtained, why don't the wolves get their own superpowers to overpower the lamb?
English

@Goatfather111 @Mcclainseanm @simongerman600 Texas has a slightly above average rate of murder and non-negligent manslaughter at 5.2/100,000 vs the US average of 5/100,000.

@Mcclainseanm @SeabassJames @simongerman600 An armed society is a polite society.

@Mcclainseanm @Goatfather111 @simongerman600 How hungry are the wolves? Does the lamb sleep? Can one wolf distract the lamb in a non-threatening way while the other wolf takes the shot?
English

@SeabassJames @Goatfather111 @simongerman600 Then one wolf is probably going to die in the process.
Imagine you are the wolf, do you want to take the 50/50 risk?
English

@TheMattSeaton @VicVijayakumar In every poll I've seen, blue got the majority, so I think you don't understand other people as well as you think you do.
English

@SeabassJames @VicVijayakumar That's a completely retarded question with the insanely idiotic assumption that both options are equally ok, no surprise coming from a blue. A more reasonable analogy, it is easier to convince 100% that the sky is blue than to convince 50% that eating feces is good for them.
English

My 11yo asked me the red vs blue button question - framed as “if more than half push blue nothing happens, and if more than half push red all the blue people die”.
I asked what she thought and she said her entire class decided on red coz you can't blindly trust half the genpop to do what's right.
English

@DirkBruere @VicVijayakumar Your setup is completely different from the original scenario. In your scenario, the buttons cannot change the outcome at all
English

@SeabassJames @VicVijayakumar You can set it up any way you like
English

@AnomalieCtrl @rik_vdk @VicVijayakumar "Everyone in the world" does not exclude babies. Even if the babies don't press either button, "only people who pressed the red button survive" means the babies don't survive.

Tim Urban@waitbutwhy
Everyone in the world has to take a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press?
English

@rik_vdk @SeabassJames @VicVijayakumar Pour moi on parle de personne conscientes de leur choix.
Si tu spécifie dans l'énoncé que les bébés votent, ça change le problème.

English

@AnomalieCtrl @rik_vdk @VicVijayakumar What about babies and disabled people who are not able to push a red button?
English

@rik_vdk @VicVijayakumar That's precisely why red is the only good option. There's no one to save if everyone save himself.
English

@TheMattSeaton @VicVijayakumar Which is easier, getting 100% of the world to agree, or getting >50% of the world to agree?
English

@VicVijayakumar Bad framing on her part. Red is right. If nobody picks blue it obviously isn't right.
