It'll be interesting if corporate obsession of profit over connection actually brings them down as more artists start to create their own "walled" gardens. maybe the push for AI will actually create a movement toward humanity.

Great substack on the death of Spotify (as predicted by Jimmy Iovine). Spotify’s business model has been brutal for “middle-class” bands. Recently there’s been movement for these bands to create “walled gardens” for fans, to build relationships w them again. Real talk: men and boys have very little to read. A lot of the time what they are drawn to is dismissed by publishers as "angry." If you ignore real conversations of anger in mainstream channels, men don't stop reading... they just read Andrew Tate instead wsj.com/opinion/free-e…

so much of writing is just making choices. being brave enough to be wrong and to know you can go back later and fix it. even if later is... like a few years. writer's block doesn't exist. the inability to make choice does. #writing #comics #screenwriting #books
