@TheEalingRoad Will Clapgate #2 - Clap Harder (#1 was Keith Don't Clap in preseason) be Henderson's legacy or could there be room for him next season as a bench cover/backroom asset, similar to what Ben Mee was?

@TheEalingRoad Draws are the killer. All the teams around us had some big moments to win games, look at Sunderland at Stamford Bridge. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough of those, if anything, we gave them away. Still, from HT at Forest, to this, I'm super proud 🙏🏼

3 goals. 3 goals from European football. Today wasn’t the reason we didn’t get European football. At one point we were 14 points ahead of Sunderland and they have pipped us to the Europa league. In the last 13 games since going 7th; 2 wins 8 draws 3 defeats Throwing away a 2 goal lead vs Wolves Conceding a last minute goal to Everton 2 sloppy goals vs Palace Last minute save vs Fulham We had it in the grasp of our hands and threw it away unfortunately. We need a big summer I think, bodies in and out and next year we really push. Considering where we were 45 minutes into the season to where we finished is an achievement in itself but so bitter sweet. Football. CT ✍️ #BrentfordFC

@TommyLYeah @TheEalingRoad I do understand that, but I don't feel yesterday is an isolated incident in terms of a poor atmosphere. My concern is that if nothing is going on in the game, we aren't really getting behind them and trying to lift them. Go to places like Elland Road and they don't shut up.

@SeanDavid1989 @TheEalingRoad The atmosphere yesterday was killed dead by Kelleher’s rush of blood and the team’s performance for all but the last ten minutes. Don’t think it had anything to do with tourists (although I agree in general, that is a growing issue).

@StoreTw8 If it happens, IF, then do we request a return to red shorts for European nights?

@TheEalingRoad And yes, we've had some cracking atmospheres, especially under the lights, but I feel we really lack any intensity unless it's a night game. Maybe free mega gulps of Pride on your way or something? 😂

@TheEalingRoad How do we improve the overall atmosphere at the GTech? It seems the tourist, "day out at a PL game" have severely infected the stands. To be expected, but what can the club/West Stand/maybe even BIAS or Bees United do to help? Yesterday should have been rocking.

@TheEalingRoad Our opportunity was the run against Brighton, Burnley, Bournemouth, Wolves, Leeds, Everton & Ful***m. We got 8 points from that. Hopefully we still make it, but that run of results will be where I see us losing the opportunity. We could have been out of sight by now.

Typical Brentford to not really turn up in what feels like the biggest games!! In reality we were very fortunate to take anything from the game and Palace were just so much sharper and provided some real quality. Lost count of the number of times we lost the ball in midfield despite having an extra man in there and we looked lost trying to create chances at times. Dango finds himself in the right place at the right time for a fortunate leveller and we have our lifeline at the break. The uncharacteristic performances continued in the second half when Wharton squirmed one under Kelleher and it did not look like our day. The likes of Jensen who has been one of our best players this season, seemingly losing the ball at every opportunity and the home atmosphere disappearing to reflect the performance. Subs made a difference in the last 15, and a trademark long throw gave us hope again - before an agonising 10 minutes of extra time in which a goal would have had us on the verge of Europe. When it fell to Dasilva and he mis-hit his shot - oh what could have been😥. It didn't happen and other results means it could still be in our hands, but there is a feeling that our best opportunity may have come and gone after that one, a very difficult watch for the first 85 minutes... 🖋 @DanielToppin

Scotland fans still thinking of attending the World Cup will be delighted to know the match is not sold out and tickets for the first game against Haiti are available for just $1,200, or $3,900 where they have draught Buckfast and you get a FREE commemorative lanyard. Average GDP in Haiti is $1,155 per year. Making it the poorest nation in the Western Hemisphere

@TomCarnduff That is for a Premium seat though. I get the clamour over the pricing, but £27 for a Premium seat each match doesn't actually sound too outlandish to me.

Just to add to that Morecambe season ticket post which is getting shared on here… ‘Early Bird price’ of £479 was meant to expire today but they’ve shifted it to Tuesday. If not, they’re charging up to £625 for a season ticket in the NATIONAL LEAGUE NORTH. That’s £27 a game.

@SeanDavid1989 It will completely ruin the magic of the day. Londoners would be fuming too with roads closed another day trust me, It’s a greedy ridiculous idea. But once again money and greed take over a magical one day marathon.

The London Marathon is reportedly considering becoming a two-day event… and as someone who has run-walked it FIVE times, I’ve got mixed feelings. For me, it’s pure magic. ✨ One city. One day. One start line. One finish on The Mall. It’s a bucket list event for a reason. I’ll be honest — I never fully agreed with the virtual marathon. During Covid it absolutely made sense. It kept the spirit alive when the world had stopped. But now? It just doesn’t feel the same. Getting the same medal as someone who ran through London, past Tower Bridge, with thousands lining the streets… yet having 24 hours to complete it and being able to stop and start anywhere… it dilutes something. Now the idea of making it a two-day event… I understand the positives. • More runners • More fundraising • More money for the economy • More dreams realised And that part is brilliant. Truly. ❤️ But there’s something incredibly powerful about the entire world knowing that today is Marathon Day. The shared nerves on the trains. The buzz in Greenwich. The roar across the capital. That once-a-year electricity. When you stretch it across two days… does it lose that edge? That intensity? That magic? Maybe I’m old-school. Maybe I’m protective because it’s been such a special part of my life. I’d love to know — what do you think? Would a two-day marathon enhance it… or dilute what makes it iconic? 🏃‍♂️🇬🇧 @LondonMarathon #londonmarathon

@UKhotfoodchat This is what happens when you set unachievable goals. He's taken a load of time off his PB in just 6 months, but he's now down in the dumps and made Runna look like a load of crap. Just because he's overstretched his goal.
