@iamrobtv I agree 100%, Rob, buddy! :) The modern/present-day storylines definitely helps out Assassin’s Creed franchise in the long run.

The Modern Day storyline took a nose dive in AC4 and it never recovered. It's been downhill ever since. BUT cutting it entirely was most certainly not the play, imo. They should've used this remake as an opportunity to improve the modern day storyline as it's a very important part of Assassin's Creed and it's a big reason the Ezio trilogy was such a smash hit. Ubisoft's neglect for the modern day side of things is one of the glaring issues this franchise has been dealing with since Desmond left the picture. Pretty discouraging to see them double down on it. Cutting the modern day entirely may actually be worse than just having a mediocre modern day story. Remakes are meant to IMPROVE, not just cut. The whole point is to take something people originally loved and try to make it BETTER. If that's not what we are doing here then what's the point of making it at all?
