Hapa napo @OldMutual_Ke has never let me down.
They repaired my car the two times I was involved in accidents one in 2021 and another in 2022.
I have referred about five friends, and every time they were involved in an accident, UAP Old Mutual paid everything in full.
In one case, a friend got into an accident just days after paying the premium. It took time, they carried out a full investigation and still fixed the car. Another friend had claims of over 980k, and they still paid.
Has anyone had a bad experience with UAP? I may not know, but as for me and those I know, we have no complaints. They paid in full, including the excess, and even shared costs for tyres, oil, and towing fees.

@brokensuit44 The police in an ideal world should serve the people.IRA should have collaborated with the police to ensure motorists who never saw the notification are assisted for the next one month etc as it is the interest of everyone. Sadly they only see this as an opportunity to eat.

So Trident Insurance goes under receivership and not a single clear notice to clients? I only find out AFTER being arrested and fined for “no insurance.” This is gross negligence. Customers deserve proper communication, not punishment for your failure. Fix this mess. COMPENSATE

Very important. This applies to all the the companies that went ok receivership,not just Trident. All certificates were cancelled on DMVIC Certificate Portal. Lots of Ubers were affected by this.

If you had taken motor insurance cover from Trident insurance company kindly get new cover elsewhere. You insurance has since been invalidated & is not active.

@LeeRussian True. Imagine if @ira_kenya collaborated with the police for the sake of the citizens as ultimately not everyone is aware of the closure of these insurance companies. But no Instead of helping citizens who genuinely have no idea, they use it as an opportunity for a shakedown.

@isaac_wcr We have received so many distress calls of people arrested by police on this matter. Infact we believe some police have been deliberately using this as an opportunity for a 'shakedown'. Yes IRA put out a notice but surely customers deserve better. 💯 Agree with you.

An update on the War Risk exclusion on Marine Insurance. @GAinsuranceltd have released this communication today. Good to know marine insurance for cargo on the ME can be considered on a case to case basis.

Following the appointment of Policyholders Compensation Fund (PCF) as Statutory Manager for Corporate Insurance Co., Trident Insurance Co., and KUSCCO Mutual Assurance Co., a 6-month moratorium on all payments has been declared effective 10 March 2026.
