Word of advice to my high school recruits out there: stop chasing stars and start chasing standards. Focus on building habits that will transform you as a player. Stop worrying about seeking temporary, fleeting attention. Get in the weight room, handle your business in the classroom, and lock in on your skill development. Don’t waste your time or money on anything else. Exposure will find you, and when it does, you need to be ready.

The standard has to be clear. Not assumed. Not implied. Clear. Confusion creates inconsistency, and inconsistency destroys culture.

The locker room will always reflect the leader. If accountability is missing, that’s on leadership. If effort is inconsistent, that’s on leadership. If standards are unclear, that’s on leadership. It starts at the top.
