I really bristle when I hear Schneider described as elite. The guy traded a 2nd AND a 3rd to the Chargers for Charlie Whitehurst who had drafted him in the 3rd round and had never attempted a pass in a game at that point.
Whitehurst started 4 games and was 1-3. He was gone after only 2 seasons.
