I'm not used to settling for fifth place, but I knew it was going to be a tough one on this terrain. All in all, it wasn't too bad. We did a solid weekend, with no mistakes, and the points we scored aren't far off the target I'd set myself. Congrats to Sami on his first win! 🏁 Rally Estonia ends with P5 overall for us, plus P4 in both the Power Stage and the Super Sunday classification We did what we could this weekend. I think it was not bad in terms of performance and we had a lot of fun in the car, but a bit of recent experience on these flat-out roads would certainly have helped us to be faster. Still, I'm not looking for excuses and we take some good points. Today we focused on holding our position and tried to have a good rhythm. There were some stages where we had good fun in the car, even though we weren't able to fight with anyone. Overall, we can be satisfied with this first day. Of course, you always want to fight for the win, but coming to Estonia for the first time in five years, we knew it was going to be challenging. Sami has been really impressive today! As for us, maybe we could have been a bit closer to Thierry if we'd taken a few more risks. Still, it was a good day from third on the road. Not too bad for a return to these super fast stages! And there's still a long way to go, starting with a big day tomorrow. We'll have a better road position, so let's see if it helps us be a bit faster. 🇫🇷 On peut globalement être satisfaits de cette première journée. C'est sûr qu'on aimerait toujours se battre pour la victoire, mais en revenant en Estonie pour la première fois en cinq ans, on savait que ça allait être compliqué. Sami a vraiment été très impressionnant aujourd'hui, et de notre côté, on aurait peut-être pu être plus proches de Thierry en prenant un peu plus de risques mais ça reste quand même une bonne journée en partant troisième sur la route. Pas si mal pour notre retour sur ces routes ultra rapides ! Et le rallye est encore long, avec une grosse journée demain.
