The reason why you had emperors, kings and conquerors at such young teen or young adult ages was due to how fast their environment pushed them to gain consciousness in their youth (also ofcourse understanding the life span of a human was a far tighter timeline than the modern day; but that urgency in life helps level you up much faster). Nowadays you see right out the womb many children in western civilization, Asia and Europe are putting their kids on screens from such a young age. There are already studies that show the clear negative cognitive effects of unproductive screen time on adults and the documented evidence for children is an even worse impact on their developing brains. Never mind the idea of the future generation harboring young leaders we may see them struggle with very normal disciplined human activities into their adulthood.

I wish I had something insightful to share this morning. I don't. I frequently say I have a deep love for the markets. Not necessarily for trading. It's because of times like these. I'm tired. I'm exhausted. I don't have the luxury of being able to trade for 20 minutes or an hour a day. I'm in front of the market virtually all day long when volatility is elevated. It's not always like this, but when it is... it's enough to burn anybody out. And I don't even think the VIX has topped out yet either.
