With every new legislation, a bit of freedom dies. Trying to figure it all out.

@sminston_with @grok this power issue will get a lot worse, #AI will continue to increase and demand more energy. Will this cause any issues for #Bitcoin as it continues to get worse?

AI electricity consumption has caught up to Bitcoin mining. Just a few years ago, Bitcoin accounted for 86% of the consumption compared to AI, but now it's roughly a 50/50 split, with both consuming over 200 terawatt hours annually.

There is something almost absurd about it, once you see it. Even when Bitcoin's price deviates from the reference power law — trading above or below the central trend — it tends to move parallel to it. The trajectory shifts, but the slope holds. This is because what matters is not where you are on the chart, but which direction you are moving. The power law defines a direction in log-space. And Bitcoin, stubbornly, keeps moving in that direction.

@JeffBooth @Giovann35084111 Business owners w marginal wage increases vs. Inflation. A business owner therefore would reap the benefits. Thus creating richer business owners and lager inequality gaps. The system is complex but broken that's for sure. Now imagine the cantiollion effect from the other side.

Here is a preview of my current Macro analysis (that I will post as an article in few days). Gold bottomed in mid-2000 at around $280. From that trough to today’s price near $4,800, gold is up roughly 17–18× over about 25 years. That corresponds to an annualized growth rate of ~12%. My thesis is that gold has largely been catching up to inflation over this period. In other words, the “real” long-term inflation rate embedded in the gold price has been closer to ~12% annually, far above the official CPI numbers. If that’s correct, then gold is not entering some new super-cycle of real growth — it is mostly repricing past monetary debasement. Either inflation has been massively understated for decades, or gold is now significantly overvalued relative to its historical role as an inflation hedge. In both cases, the upside for gold from here is structurally limited. A further 2–3× move would already imply an extreme inflation regime; a 10× move would require something close to a breakdown of the monetary system. That’s not a base-case scenario. Once the current “safe haven” enthusiasm for gold fades, capital is likely to rotate back toward assets with genuine long-term real growth potential. Bitcoin, as a provably scarce, reflexive, and adoption-driven network asset, offers a far superior asymmetric upside than gold or any traditional store-of-value asset.

@JeffBooth @Giovann35084111 Think of the reason they give for a 2% Target inflation; "to keep prices stable". So it either means that they only considered Central Banks policy (2% printing, thus disregard Tech deflationary pressures) or the other way around, or both but with an imbalance as tech accelerats

@Giovann35084111 @SebalordJpy Great point on the interplay of inflation and productivity. However, technology is inherently deflationary, increasing productivity while driving costs down. A system focused on inflation may overlook this potential, creating imbalances. Thoughts?

🧵 The cost of everything technology touches is falling toward zero. That's not just a catchy phrase—it's an economic reality, and it has profound implications for our future. Let's explore why this matters.👇

Tonight is the last time I will sleep in my own bed next to my loving wife. For the next 5 years I will be housed in a federal prison at taxpayer expense for a "crime" without a victim. Just one of many victims of lawfare perpetrated by a weaponized Biden DOJ where truth and justice were sidelined in favor of a political anti innovation agenda. Where evidence was hidden and suppressed because it didn't fit the story highly partisan line prosecutors needed to tell. Where Supreme Court precedence was ignored by activist judges. Tomorrow I will surrender to FPC Morgantown. I will no longer be Keonne Rodriguez inside that institution, instead I will be a number, 11404-511. But outside of those walls my name will be kept alive. My loving wife, my family, my friends, all of you who have supported #pardonsamourai will make sure of that. I know walking into that institution that the story doesn't end there. I maintain hope that President @realDonaldTrump is a fair man, a man of the people, who will see this prosecution for what it was: an anti innovation, anti american, attack on the rights and liberties of free people. I believe his team @AGPamBondi @EdMartinDOJ @DAGToddBlanche and others truly want to end the weaponization of the DOJ that the previous administration wielded so effectively. The framers of our Constitution gave the Executive the power to pardon for exactly this reason, to balance out and restore justice when no one else would. President Trump has proven he takes that power seriously. I believe he will continue to wield that power for good and pardon me and Bill. Keep up the noise. Thank you all for your support. See you on the other side.
