Last year I had the privilege of seeing the Battleship Texas (BB-35) in drydock. The Texas remains the last surviving dreadnaught, a ship which sailed both the Pacific and the Atlantic during both World Wars, and for a time she was the most powerful weapon on Earth. A truly amazing piece of U.S. and Texas history! Now thanks to those who cherish the legacy of this magnificent vessel, and the men who served aboard her, she is undergoing a complete restoration!
