Because the Iraqis were the good guys. It’s estimated that the US killed over a million people when we invaded Iraq. We starved them, tortured them, destroyed their homes, bombed them, blocked medical aid, etc. So many civilians died including women and children who had nothing to do with the war. George made it pretty clear with the original trilogy, America was never the good guy in the story.

It was quite literally called the pearl of the Caribbean for a reason Cadillacs would debut in Havana before NYC, Dior had exclusive licenses with Havana for fashion that it did not with Paris, GDP and wealth was highest in LatAm per capita and even higher than Spain and Italy
