He doesn’t care about Chicagoans being killed by thugs, he doesn’t care about thugs killing thugs, he doesn’t care about illegal aliens killing Americans & he doesn’t care about thugs killing cops but let it be that an officer shoots a thug who terrorizes our city & he’ll lose his mind.
He has 150 officers protecting him & his family but makes statements like “law enforcement is a sickness” then he thinks that ppl should believe that he didn’t do anything less but cheer on the piece of shit who shot the 2 officers this morning.

One year ago, he was arrested for aggravated vehicular carjacking and armed robbery...wait for it...WHILE on pretrial release (H/T Pritzker) for three separate cases at the time of the robbery and carjacking: a 2023 stolen vehicle and aggravated fleeing case; a 2024 charge for aggravated battery of peace officers; and a misdemeanor domestic battery case filed in January of 2025.
Another habitual offender turned out again and again to violate law-abiding citizens by a political ruling class that could not care less about them. And now a cop is dead and another one is clinging to life.

I get that everyone likes the photo and vibe of Soldier Field but at the end of the day staying there prevents billions of dollars of appreciation in the value of the franchise.
Sports are a business, not a nonprofit or public good. I too like the photo but the Chicago Bears Inc. playing in the suburbs is worth twice as much them playing in Soldier Field. No one is going to leave that kind of money on the table for vibes.

Apparently Chicago is now at risk of losing sports betting entirely…
Earlier this year @ChicagosMayor added a 10.25% sports betting tax just to Chicago, set to kick in Jan 1, 2026.
The problem?
Taxation on sports betting comes from states, not cities. If a city wants to, they have to issue licenses to operators first.
Obviously none of that has been set up prior.
Operators are now threatening to shutdown in Chicago because they are now at risk of not being in compliance.
After 3 tax increases in 2 years (this would be the 4th) the local government is now so lost it’s all going to be shit down.
Incompetence at it’s finest.
