I once visited G. F. Watts Memorial to Heroic Self-Sacrifice to see the plaque commemorating Arthur Regelous and Alice Maud Denman. It contains over 100 beautiful ceramic plaques commemorating those who died saving others, their stories told in a few words on each plaque 🥀

One of my favourite finds. This 1877 list, not of people, but of working London canal horses, complete with their name, description and age!

Just found this 1820s will transcript. The order of inheritance goes to 'Jacko' the monkey, 'Shock' the dog, 'Tib' the cat. Only when all three have died, the daughter finally gets something...

My grandfather, Owen Jolly, was born 6 Feb 1918. Sadly, he died just a few days ago. We have another birthday in our family today, reminding us that life goes on. We all have wonderful memories of an amazing human and are grateful for his (almost) 101 years. RIP Grandad 🖤
