Eliminating worker misclassification is necessary to ensure that workers receive what they are owed. But the previous administration's proposal would severely restrict Americans’ freedom to work as they choose -- stifling ambition and hindering economic growth. It was an honor to once again meet with the International Association of Firefighters. Last year on National Apprenticeship Day, we officially launched their new Registered Apprenticeship program, ensuring firefighters receive the unique training they need to stay safe while protecting our communities. I look forward to continuing our partnership to ensure @USDOL is doing everything we can to support our brave firefighters 🇺🇸

For the final state of my America at Work listening tour, I visited @TulsaFire in Oklahoma. I had the opportunity to meet with apprentices who are training to serve and protect their communities. 🇺🇸

It was great to welcome @SecretaryLCD, @RepChuckEdwards, @RepShreve, @RepMaloyUtah to @conexpoconagg to discuss the role equipment manufacturing plays in building strong communities nationwide. From workforce development to infrastructure investment and supply chain resilience, these conversations help advance policies that support manufacturers, job creators, and the people who keep America building.

It was a pleasure meeting Chef Roy Yamaguchi of the Culinary Institute of the Pacific. Their hands-on Workforce Development Program is preparing the next generation of culinary professionals while keeping our children fed & healthy 🇺🇸

As we work toward @POTUS’ goal of one million active apprentices, @USDOL’s commitment to faster decisions, clearer standards, and greater flexibility will enable employers across all industries to launch high-quality Registered Apprenticeship programs and help more Americans access high-paying careers 🇺🇸

At Visioneering, I saw firsthand the important role having a strong, skilled workforce plays in securing our national defense and protecting America's future 🇺🇸
