@alarmingly_good Yeah, somehow the icon ended up in the wrong folder at some point and that's what caused this. We'll release a fixed version by the end of the day.

@GarrusVNBadger If it really was "his project", he couldn't have gotten fired from it. He may have been the main writer for TSR, but he was paid a salary and was given a budget to make builds with. It's not uncommon for an employee to be let go when they harm their employers' reputation.

What I do know is that I would be destroyed if my project I spent years on would just be... taken from me, with no chance for any closure.

@Meowstronaut1 For all my playing around with friends on Discord and the likes, I always look forward to any art work my community creates, whether it be SFW or NSFW. Because art is art, and art deserves to be celebrated. We're working with VNs here, not big corporate brands.

@Meowstronaut1 What GS seems to misunderstand is that there are no "SFW" or "NSFW" writers or readers, just writers and readers. I didn't choose to write a SFW novel because I hate NSFW, I did it because I couldn't fit it into the story in a way I felt happy with. If I could've, I might've.

I think a banal point like "It's sad there won't be sex scenes in this" could be made without accusing the authors of deception and making up an FVN deep state with an anti-nsfw agenda. Yes, even if the authors make self-indulgent nsfw fanart of their characters from an sfw work

To add onto this, let’s not use our platforms to vilify smaller and lesser known projects over something they did not do, especially mere hours after they were given honorable mentions by another important platform.

@TuskmaneBoi @Aluminemsiren But nowhere is it written that just because a novel is LGBTQ+ or sex positive, it *has* to be NSFW. It could just feature characters who lie within that spectrum, or discuss "adult" topics without being literal or explicit.

@JoshuaTheFox @Meowstronaut1 Like, do you understand how fundamentally anti-creativity your stance is? No artist or VN developer could possibly want to limit themselves in the way you are suggesting. We're all just normal people making cool games in our free time and trying to have fun.

@JoshuaTheFox @Meowstronaut1 Sure. In that case, we might as well stop artists from drawing Summer, Halloween, or Christmas seasonal art of their VNs, to name a few. Or from posting any ideas they came up with on their own time. And God-forbid someone else entirely commission VN-inspired art from them.

@JoshuaTheFox @Meowstronaut1 Then how come even when I commissioned art of one of my characters in a sexy bikini last summer (despite my novel *also* being fully SFW), literally NO ONE thought we were pivoting to more sexual content? By your logic, that's what everyone should've and would've assumed.

@Sedge_Lord @Meowstronaut1 To me by default it is, you have to say that it isn't otherwise. Any and all work you do of those characters is directly representing them and the story. You should state that it isn't if it's not, especially if it's going to be posted or reposted by the VN account

@JoshuaTheFox @Meowstronaut1 "SFW" authors are allowed to draw or have their characters drawn in NSFW contexts, and vice versa. It'd be one thing if they stated somewhere that that drawing was in any way indicative of the content of their game, but they very clearly didn't.

@JoshuaTheFox @Meowstronaut1 If that's misleading, then a hypothetical VN that posts a cute drawing of their characters at the beach enjoying themselves would be misleading if it doesn't have a beach episode. Which I'm sure you realize would be ridiculous.
