@Sedgecat Comparing travel to islands looks like a sensible thing. But implicitly suggesting they should be the same cost is where it goes off. There is no logical reason for two different things to be the same. Your comment is a common one in NL but it is built on a fallacy not logic.

An educator teaches us about specious reasoning and poor critical thinking skills. These are common human traits. Very hard to overcome even for well-educated people.

@edhollett I didn't think comparing the actual cost of traveling to two island provinces, with my actual vehicle and load, in the same country, was comparing unconnected things. Perhaps I was wrong? I know a bridge and a boat are different things.
