This is my 1st #PhD paper & stepping stone for my other work inc. my #EJP paper. I got my first rejection with this and I’m excited to see it published (& will be happy to see it cited 😇). Shout out to @PlattLucinda & @BerkayOzcan_ who spent ages with me & this work. Thank you🙏

This suggests that regional anti-immigrant attitudes and individual’s feeling of discrimination are different but complementary measures of destination’s impact on immigrants’ wellbeing/other life outcomes. Use of regional measures helps to avoid endogeneity in models w/ SW. 5/n

Some professional/personal news - a 🧵: 1) Today is my last working day before my maternity leave starts👶- I will be out of action until ~Feb/March 2025.

I didn’t find this association on the more granular LAD level. I argue that this might be caused by the mostly urban sample of immigrants and needs to be further investigated.

Interestingly, this association is not driven by the share of the most negative attitudes in the population in the region but by the overall composition of attitudes in each region.
