The trademark was registered by PANDORA on March 16, 2026, describing talents who can freely move between VTuber-style avatar content and IRL streaming. While many VTubers already do this, this is the first time the concept has received an official name and trademark. PANDORA also launched Project YOHANE, a program designed to help new XTubers get started by lowering barriers like cost, equipment, and technical skills. The program is open to anyone 18+, with no prior streaming experience required and showing your face optional.
