Mondays are wild because so many things that we repent of or try to improve during the sacrament on Sunday immediately come into play on Mondays 😅 Tomorrow’s a new day to be a peacemaker!

My wife turns 40 tomorrow. I asked her what she wanted for her last meal of her 30's. She told me to surprise her with something delicious. So, I made her a French toast Monte Cristo. It did not disappoint.

Not really an answer to a prayer, but a testimony that He sees us, and knows us... While driving to church, I was listening to a conference talk about keeping the Sabbath holy, and on the second slide in Sunday School were three quotes from that exact talk I had just listened to! And then after church, I was talking to my older brother about choosing to listen to talks instead of music while I commute. Then, later in the day, when my brother was being set apart for a calling to the High Counsel in his ward, his blessing mentioned the exact thing we had spoken about moments before! I'm in Phoenix visiting family, and I rented a car. I was supposed to fly home Sunday morning, but all of the flights were over $400 so I decided to stay and attend church with my mother. She is in her 80's and hasn't attended since February, because last time she was there, she went into Afib and passed out twice. Because I was there with her, she was able to overcome her fear. After church, when I extended my car rental for an additional 24 hours, they charged me zero dollars for the extra day, and when I went to book a flight back to Michigan, I was able to find a direct flight for only $88 (which included my luggage AND a front-row seat)!

What’s the fastest you’ve ever had an answer to Fasting happen? I was shocked with a miracle that happen today that was a direct answer to my fasting and prayer today. Heavenly Father loves you, knows you, and wants to answer your prayers.

@TruthHolder2023 Drink a bunch of water before bed. You'll wake up having to pee, and your body will slowly wake you up out of REM, and you'll be partly asleep and are more likely to remember.

@SeedOfTruthLabs Cool idea. Most of the time, by the time I wake, I can't remember the dreams at all. But, on a few occasions, they were journal-worthy.

When I have dreams that seem all disjoined and hard to remember when I wake, I know it was just a normal dream. When I have a dream that seems very detailed, and I can remember every single detail, and those details have a spiritual message, I know they are from God. We shouldn't treat our personal revelatory dreams as being revelation for others. They are personal (emphasis on personal) revelation. The prophet Joel foresaw the latter days. The Lord declared through him that after a spiritual drought, a time would come when “I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions” (Joel 2:28). Elder M. Gonzalo Sepúlveda, Area Authority Seventy Chile Area, said, "If we will meditate over a situation that worries us, fervently pray to God for help, and strive to keep His commandments, revelation will flow into our minds and we will be a light to those around us." This may not come by dreams or visions, but revelation will come, and when it does, you'll recognize it if you're in tune with the Holy Ghost. Image: Daniel interprets the King's dream.

This has been an amazing year so far! Quit smoking 107 days ago. Saw President Oaks at BYU. Received the Aaronic Priesthood and performed my first baptisms. Got a great job and started paying tithing. Finished my first read through the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price... now starting on The Old Testament. Currently awaiting my Melchizedek Priesthood interview with my Stake President. Almost done watching The Chosen series for a second time.

Now that we are finished with the first quarter of the year and moving into Marvelous May. What is the best thing that’s happened to you so far this year or the best thing you’ve gotten to do?

I don't think callings equate to having a steadfast and immovable testimony. I know of people who have had callings like bishop, stake president, mission president, etc., but did they have a steadfast and immovable testimony? (None of us can answer that question for anyone else. The question we have to ask ourselves, "Is my testimony steadfast and immovable?") I look at my own life and my conversion. I have had ample opportunities to take offense to things members and leaders have said to me, or the way they have treated me. I've been betrayed by members. I've been slandered by some. But, I have chosen not to let these things put a wedge between me and Heavenly Father. Why? Because I have made a commitment to stay true to my testimony as revealed by the Holy Ghost on multiple occasions. The only thing that could cause me to leave would simply be my own sins getting out of hand. Yet, even if I fell deeply into sinning, I could not deny what God has revealed to me. And, I would KNOW that I was doing wrong, and the guilt would eat away at my very soul. And, for this reason, I work hard at shunning sin, repenting quickly when I do sin, and knowing full well, that the best thing for a sinner is to remain steadfast and immovable in their testimony of Jesus Christ and His Gospel.

Do you know why people leave the LDS Church? I do. Why do I have a pretty good idea? Because I’ve asked them. Friends, family members, my own daughter. I’ve spent hundreds of hours talking with many who have left. I’m curious, I ask questions and listen to their stories. It’s fascinating what I’ve learned. I love all these people who have walked away.

I’m beyond excited to surprise my wife on her 40th birthday. It’s May the 4th, which is perhaps why she loves the original Star Wars trilogy so much. She has no idea what’s coming, but this is her surprise gift. It was made by my good friend, artist and author, Steven Bohls. I’ve been doing photography work for him for years, slowly building up enough credit to get one of his pieces for my wife. This is a solid sheet of 1 inch acrylic, 4 feet square. He cuts out one layer at a time with a massive CNC router, then fills each section with a different color of acrylic. You really can’t understand how cool, or how huge, these pieces are until you see one in person. My wife fell in love with this piece and told me, when Steven sold the original, that she wished we could have afforded to buy it. What she doesn’t know is that he made a second one. For her. May the 4th can't come soon enough! (and no, she is not on X, so there's no way she is going to see this).
