Blind Vision tactile

We started developing remote learning solutions for the blind years before the pandemic hit. There is great potential for a teacher using tactile models across the Internet and knowing where their students are touching and providing hands on guided lessons. It's a TACTILE WORLD!

Secondary Tactile Programming. Similar to Secondary Audio Programming, what we are doing with our tactile broadcast is to piggyback tactile data to web pages, videos, TV shows to add a layer of tactile description. Lots of help will be needed but 100's of millions could benefit!

Would you use a social network that was designed from the beginning for blind and deaf blind users? Our plan is to have a design that utilizes new tactile tools for enhanced functionality. Shared multi person gameboards, teachers and students exploring tactile geography lessons.

@kanugantisuman One human mind when trained by Google searches with a little bit of intuition & inspiration (which I still say is the secret sauce) can do things like invent the computers & algorithms that attempt to catch up to what we can already do. Not sure when & if I want AI to exceed us!

A door left halfway open, a crack in the sidewalk, a low hanging branch, or open space with no waypoints in reach. What are some things you would want to know about your location? Are there things you would like to know about a new location you are at? Can computer vision help?

STUCK AT HOME. With the 3d printer here at the house we have gotten lots of design projects done. Looking for more blind creative thinkers to help us layout the future of our Tactile World. If you could help us build this new World (which you can) what would you put in it?

@matvelloso If I only get 1 Raspberry Pi can I get some kind of device to analyze up to 6 video camera inputs even if it auto cycles through each one 1 at a time? Just need to know which camera the file came from.

Here is the pic of the measuring tool. We can get many important measurements using this 3D printed tool we designed. There are just so many projects our small group is working on. Would be nice to have a larger team of developers with us to change the World just a little faster

@ideltoa yep but tomorrow maybe you can measure that other length. see pic. Then say 2nd smallest step or 5th tallest step. Here is a pic. Thanks, no rush

For those of you that got our 3D printed measuring tool that feels like a flat stair step with varying size holes in it please send to info@seeingaid.com what size your pointer finger fits in snugly in the fat area between your 1st & 2nd knuckle. About half inch from fingernail.

Tell us something like it is the 5th largest hole or 2nd smallest hole. Also tell us which step matches the distance from web of pointer finger to end of finger when you place thin side of print between pointer & middle finger. Should be about 3 inches. Can explain more if needed

Who should we approach to fund some of our projects for the blind that we are working with blind developers and testers to complete? Do corporations have divisions that work in accessibility design? Do you team up with a University to get funding grants? Should we crowdfund?

@Dave_Parisi What would a glove that vibrated in certain places when you touched a virtual model be called? Haptic or Tactile? What would a glove that allowed you to touch something actually there & vibrated or told you what you were touching be called? Tactile or Haptic? We own both!
