A lot of creators are going through this
I put two years into building this account. Some days I look at that and feel proud. Some days I look at it and feel nothing.
25k people followed me at some point. That means at some point something I made was worth stopping for. I have to keep reminding myself of that because lately I have been forgetting it.
Right now posting feels like shouting into a room where nobody turns around.
Not because the room is empty. I can see the people. I just cannot reach them anymore.
And for a while I kept telling myself it was the platform. The algorithm. The reach. The rules that changed without warning.
That was easier than asking the harder question.
Which is whether I actually know who I am still building this for.
Two years in and I am not sure I have a clean answer to that. And I think that uncertainty is showing up in everything I post.
The energy is different when you are creating from a clear place versus creating because you feel like you are supposed to.
People will tell you to just keep going.
Post consistently.
Trust the process.
Maybe.
But none of that touches the real problem if the real problem is that you lost the plot somewhere along the way.
The skills are still mine. The voice is still mine. The two years happened and nobody can take that back.
But I have to rebuild the why. And that is scarier than any algorithm change
