Wow. If only I knew how fragile twitter was 😒The point I'm trying to make here is, my paternal grandfather is full Pākeha, as am I. However he would have never treated anyone the way that person did. When I receive my moko kauae, I hope I never have to withstand such behaviour.
Had a disgusting experience walking down the main street in #Wellington with a person heckling a colleague I was with because she wore moko kauae. Such a shame that old, pale, stales still think their 5c's counts for anything. But also sad that pākeha think its ok to be #Racist
An honour to be in his presence, and to hear the decades of dedication to serving the health needs of his people. Lets all be like Uncle Tom, and create legacies that last long after we are memories of our descendants! #WICC2024

Hanging out this evening with a pretty outstanding Māori Policy/Strategy team from @TeAkaWhaiOra this evening at the release of some mahi they supported with @RareDisordersNZ. A culmination of some outstanding mahi highlighting our whānau living with a rare disorder.
💜 An amazing day of experiences across Tai Tokerau. To finish the day, a moment to reflect at Haruru Falls with my office. The people who keep me organised, on time and safe when I have no boundaries to say no! Love my mahi at Te Aka Whai Ora Māori Health Authority 💜
