@ShaneSchaetzel Yes, they certainly are not prepared for this. Also, these more passionate Catholics are not going to be happy with the status quo. All priests are stuck between the loud older parishioners who don't want change and the younger, passionate parishioners demanding it.

@SelectiveTradi1 The older generation of clergy are not prepared for this, nor can they handle it. Younger priests need to rely on pre-conciliar tradition (even if applied to the Novus Ordo Mass) and sound, orthodox homilies. It’s the only way to grapple with what’s coming.

The bishops of the Catholic Church have no idea what is coming and they are completely unprepared for it. American Protestantism is collapsing. “Spiritual but not religious” doesn’t work. And Generation Z has figured it out. Catholicism is their primary destination now.👇🏻

This is the central problem with higher education in the age of AI. We can't require students to do take-home writing assignments (e.g. term papers) any more, because most will cheat and have ChatGPT or Claude or Grok do the writing. But we can't teach critical thinking, rationality, perseverance, & scholarship without requiring writing assignments that they work on -- researching, drafting, editing, revising, polishing -- over a period of days or weeks. The result may be a whole generation of students who can't really write, or think, or articulate what they really believe and value, and why.

When I read a great book, the end is bittersweet.
I want the story to go on & to live in it forever.
But at that moment, I realize that the story is more beautiful because it ends.
A story can not continue forever.
So it is with our lives.
We have a finite time on this earth, which will come one day to an end.
What awaits us is infinite.
The true beauty of our own stories will only be realized at the end.
