They used two real identical cats (one thrown up, one dropped down) with trainers in the ceiling. $12,000 custom stuffed replica was made as backup. No animals were harmed; trainers limited takes to protect the cats’ careers Filming the fire drill took 1.5 days due to all the physical comedy and stunts. The cast’s genuine panic helped because the chaos was more intense than expected. It was the most-watched episode of the series
