Thank you to all of the Sellen employees, families, and friends for serving communities across the Puget Sound region! From sorting food at food banks, to cleaning community gardens and assembling new baby emergency packs, your impact was felt!

Sellen's main office and job sites were closed on Monday, Jan. 17 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Sellen is proud to dedicate this annual closure as a day of service and volunteerism in our communities to honor his vital racial justice work and to serve his legacy.

Over 100 employees are actively participating in Sellen-sponsored volunteer opportunities across the region and exemplifying Sellen's Purpose - to improve the lives around us as builders, partners and neighbors.

Sellen has closed our main office and job sites today, Jan. 17, so that employees can serve our communities in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.

Crews at The Artise project in Bellevue designed, fabricated & erected a 50-ton steel platform structure to store materials. The platform is the largest self-performed steel structure Sellen's ironworkers have completed. Shout out to everyone on the team! #BornToBuild 🏗

Sellen and the Sellen Community foundation are proud to support the impactful work of Sawhorse Revolution and its positive influence on many students in the Seattle area. To learn more about Sawhorse Revolution and its mission, visit sawhorserevolution.org.

A group of volunteers from Sellen and Reckoning Trade Project spent an afternoon with Sawhorse Revolution late last year to help students build tiny homes for people experiencing homelessness. Watch the full video here: youtu.be/YsEpIHqsLCA

In 2011, Sellen completed the Swedish Issaquah Campus, designed by @CollinsWoerman. The 600,000-square-foot project included an acute care hospital, an outpatient cancer center, and a five-floor medical office building. #BornToBuild 🏗️

In lieu of Sellen's annual Open House, we are gifting $15,000 to Sound Foundations NW to help advance housing relief in King County. Their mission is to build sustainable, long-lasting tiny homes in collaboration with @LIHIhousing.

In recent years, Dick has managed Sellen's Special Projects teams as senior superintendent, focusing on our unique renovation work across the region.

Congratulations to Senior Superintendent Dick Loukusa, who retires today after 41 years with Sellen! As Superintendent, Dick led teams on a variety of projects including Swedish Southeast Wing Addition and the Russell Investments Tenant Improvement.

Block 18 received LEED Gold Certification from the @USGBC this month - the first Sellen project completed under the new #LEEDv4 standards. Congratulations to the team on this green building’s achievement! 📸: @BenBenschneider
