Romans 12:17-19~ Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. We are reminded not to repay evil with evil but to strive to do what is right in the eyes of all, living at peace as much as it depends on us. Instead of seeking revenge, we are called to trust God’s justice, knowing He alone has the authority to avenge. This passage challenges us to respond to wrongs, not with retaliation but with grace, letting go of grudges and choosing peace. Today, examine your heart if there's someone you're tempted to retaliate against, choose instead to pray for them, and release the situation to God, trusting Him to deal with it in His perfect way #word #JG #mamajakes #motherof3 #kenyantiktok

Psalm 44:1-3~We have heard it with our ears, O God; our ancestors have told us what you did in their days, in days long ago. With your hand, you drove out the nations and planted our ancestors; you crushed the people and made our ancestors flourish. It was not by their sword that they won the land, nor did their arm bring them victory; it was your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, for you loved them. This truth calls us to humility, gratitude, and trust. Just as the psalmist recalls how God drove out nations and planted His people in the land, we too must recognize that our successes and deliverance come not from our abilities, but from God's gracious hand. We are encouraged to deepen our faith by remembering God's past faithfulness and to rely on Him in our present battles, knowing that His love and power remain unchanged #word #JG #mamajakes #motherof3 #kenyantiktok

Isaiah 53:4–5~Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds, we are healed. Sometimes, we carry guilt, pain, or burdens that feel too heavy to bear. But today's passage reminds us that we are not meant to carry them alone. Jesus took our place. He bore our pain, took our sin, and endured punishment so we could be forgiven and healed. This is the heart of God’s love: not that we have to earn peace with Him, but that Jesus has already made the way through His suffering. So, take a moment to thank Him. Whatever you're carrying; shame, regret, or sorrow, remember He already carried it to the cross. You are not alone! Because of His wounds, you are offered healing. Because of His sacrifice, you can have peace #word #JG #mamajakes #motherof3 #kenyantiktok

Exodus 4:10-12~Moses said to the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.” The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” When you feel inadequate or unqualified for a task God has placed before you, whether it's speaking up, leading, or serving, remember that He does not call the equipped; He equips the called. Instead of focusing on your weaknesses, focus on God's strength. Start by praying for His help, take a step of faith, and trust that He will give you the words, wisdom, and confidence you need. Like Moses, your obedience can lead to great impact when you rely on God rather than yourself #word #JG #mamajakes #motherof3 #kenyantiktok

Revelation 21:4~"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." And He who was seated on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." God will personally remove all suffering, grief, and pain from human experience. There will be no more death, sorrow, or crying because the old, broken order of the world will be gone. It reflects the fulfilment of God's promise to dwell with His people and make all things new. This verse symbolizes the end of human suffering and the beginning of eternal peace, showing God's deep compassion and His ultimate plan to restore creation to its intended glory #word #JG #Motherof3 ##mamajakes #kenyantiktok

1 Corinthians 3: 16-17~Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple. We are God’s temple, and His Spirit lives in us. This means our bodies and lives are special and should be treated with care and respect. We should avoid anything that harms ourselves or others, especially in the church community. God wants us to live in a way that honours Him by staying pure, living in peace with others, and remembering that He lives in us #word #mamajakes #motherof3 #mamajakes #tbthursday

I shared a comment yesterday, unaware of the full and serious nature of the pastor’s suspension. I assumed it was an internal disciplinary matter and reacted to what seemed like public shaming. Once I learned the truth, I deleted the post. Let me be clear: I stand firmly against all forms of abuse, especially as a mother and a Christian. I stand against any form of abuse and also with the victims. I totally regret my fast reaction to that story 🙏🏽

1 Corinthians 13:4-7~Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, and it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Incorporating these principles into our daily lives involves practising patience, kindness, humility, and selflessness in our interactions with others. We should avoid envy, boasting, pride, dishonouring others, and seeking only our own interests. Instead, we should focus on showing love and compassion, forgiving wrongs, and standing up for truth and justice. By embodying these qualities, we can nurture healthier relationships, promote understanding and harmony, and create a more positive and supportive community for ourselves and those around us.

Galatians 6:9~Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. This is a call to perseverance and a reminder that even when we face challenges or discouragement, we should continue to do good works. We are reminded that our efforts will eventually be rewarded, not immediately, but "at the proper time". The key is to not give up, as our diligence will lead to a harvest of blessings.

1 Peter 5:6-9~Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. We are reminded to practice humility and trust God’s timing in our lives. When facing challenges or temptations, we should stay alert and resist the devil’s schemes, knowing that God's strength and grace will uphold us. Cultivating humility and vigilance will help us grow in faith and remain steadfast in our walk with Christ.

Hebrews 11:6~And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him This encourages to trust God even when we cannot see the outcome. Whether facing personal challenges, making important decisions, or waiting on God's promises, we are reminded to believe that He exists and rewards those who earnestly seek Him. By living with this faith, we demonstrate our reliance on God's character and open ourselves to His guidance and blessings.

Isaiah 43:16-19~This is what the LORD says—he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. God is always at work, even when our circumstances seem impossible. Just as He once made a way through the sea for the Israelites, He promises to do something new in our lives—making a path in the wilderness and streams in the desert. This message encourages us to let go of past failures and victories alike, and to trust in God’s power to create new beginnings. In our personal, professional, or spiritual journeys, it calls us to have faith in His transformative power and remain open to unexpected blessings and directions.

Mathew 6: 28-34~And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labour or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendour was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Romans 12: 9-13~Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honour one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervour, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. It’s commonly said that love is blind, but genuine love must take notice and take action. If we are to rightly love one another and our world, we must hate what God hates and love what God loves, and in both cases, we must speak the truth in love to those around us. In doing so, we show the character of God and the power of the Gospel

Romans 5:9-11~Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. Paul wants Christians to rejoice in the truth that Christians will NOT come under God’s wrath. We have assurance in the gospel that the God who justifies us is the same God who will save us on the last day. The God who saved us from our sins will also save us on the Day of Judgment. God already did the hard work of justification, so we can trust a future salvation too.God has made us right with Him through the gospel. He has saved us—and since that is true, we have GREAT assurance that God will one day save us from any future wrath from Him
