@Wally443 They've clearly never done any creative work. Do they really think you have a finished concept of a story when you start, and you realize it to a tee without any changes? I guess when a true, finished, canon work doesn't work for you ship, you need to look somewhere else. 🤷

Using early drafts of FF7’s story as “evidence” will always be some of the dumbest takes in this fandom. Fictional stories always go through a multitude of changes before being finalized. I don’t think many people are trying to argue Sephiroth and Aerith are lovers for instance.

@GamingTallen (2/2) Dates just show what happens if he goes on a date with a certain character thus they're all canon. But some people choose to remain ignorant. 🤷

@GamingTallen (1/2) GS dates are a clever way to give players only an illusion of a choice. Because in the end you can't decide who Cloud romances, as he's a character with his own feelings, and not a self insert.

The whole “optional” argument is complete BS! If it’s in the game, then it’s part of the story. Accept it. “But Cloud can’t go on 6 dates” Devs said it’s to show Cloud’s progression with his friends. All are part of the story. Suck it up and deal with it or find a new game.
