My time with Senator @LindseyGrahamSC was short, but it was truly an honor to serve alongside him and witness the way he advocated for what he believed in.

In my few short months in the Senate, I have known Lindsey to be an honorable and principled man. He represented his home state with charm and class, and is leaving behind an incredible legacy of service. Our prayers are with his loved ones and all who mourn his loss.

It has been the honor of my life to serve our nation in the United States Senate on such a special year, celebrating 250 years of American independence and exceptionalism. This year, I am struck by the ingenuity, courage, and profound faith of our founding fathers in creating a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. They believed in the idea of a free America so deeply that they were willing to fight and die for it.
