I’m proud to run on and stand by my record serving the people of the 46th Legislative District ahead of the June 2026 Primary Election. Together, we’ve protected Marylanders’ civil and reproductive rights, made historic investments in our schools and the families they serve, passed one of the most aggressive climate policies in the country, and reformed policing while reducing crime by unprecedented levels. Building on that progress in the years ahead requires steadfast leadership, and I hope to count on each and every one of you in that work.

Energy bills too high. Prescription drugs too expensive. Groceries costing more every week. I'm taking all of it on, because Maryland families deserve relief, not excuses.

If Washington is going to make it harder for Marylanders to access healthcare and food assistance, we need to help people stay covered and get the support they need. I introduced Senate Bill 772 to help eligible Marylanders comply with burdensome work requirements by creating a centralized database of job and volunteer opportunities, so no Marylander loses access to basic services because of Trump’s Project 2025 agenda.

With two weeks left in the 2026 Legislative Session, there was no better way to spend the weekend than back in Baltimore celebrating our City’s incredible diversity of cultures. After No Kings 3.0 yesterday, I knocked doors in Graceland Park, O’Donnell Heights, and St. Helena. Rounding things out, I visited Greektown this afternoon to join Maryland’s Greek Independence Day Parade. From Downtown to Greektown, representing the 46th Legislative District is undoubtedly the honor of a lifetime.

We put the right to abortion access in Maryland's Constitution. We made Maryland the first state to protect Planned Parenthood from federal defunding. Your rights are safe here.

It was phenomenal to join the thousands of Baltimoreans who turned out for No Kings 3.0 this morning before going to knock doors in Graceland Park, O’Donnell Heights, and St. Helena. Civil protest is the cornerstone of a healthy democracy, and we will keep fighting against this unconstitutional, unlawful, and chaotic Trump Administration with every tool at Maryland’s disposal.

In Maryland, we're standing with our immigrant communities and pushing back against Trump's overreach. That's who we are.

When I first walked into this office, it wasn’t about politics - it was about building a better future for families like mine and the students I taught. That’s still what drives my work.

Marylanders shouldn't have to worry about high gas prices because Trump started a war without thinking through the consequences. In Maryland, we're focused on real leadership that drives costs down, not the other way around.

Glad to have earned the endorsement of the @sierraclubmd. Cleaner energy. Lower bills. Holding polluters accountable. That’s what I’m fighting for in Annapolis, and I’m grateful to have groups like the Sierra Club in my corner.

When we invest in schools, we invest in neighborhoods. When we invest in neighborhoods, we invest in Baltimore's future. I saw that firsthand as a teacher and I carry that with me in the legislature.

No utility company should get a blank check while Marylanders struggle to pay their bills. I’m going to keep fighting to bring those costs down.

When ICE agents were pulling people from their homes and cars while masked, unaccountable, and operating outside the law, Maryland needed to act. 
I co-sponsored and passed legislation through the Senate that: -Bans local police from partnering with ICE -Prohibits ICE agents from wearing masks on duty We will do whatever it takes to protect every Marylander. That’s my commitment and that’s our State leading the way.

Economic growth must start with our communities. Amid the Trump Administration’s attacks on our federal workforce, that means building on the industries that already make Maryland strong— like healthcare, biotech, transportation, finance, and emerging technologies like quantum computing. Last week, the Senate Finance Committee advanced Senate Bill 770, my legislation to build a Maryland economy rooted in industries of the future to create good jobs and real opportunity across the State.

The State funding we secured is a testament to the kids, coaches, and community that clearly articulated what the rink means to them and its centrality to our City. It’s a great day to be a @BMoreBanners.
