Newsom's $20 Million Diaper Program Reeks. Experts warned the state that families need size 4 diapers and above. Newsom's program only offers newborn and size 1. He bypassed better nonprofits, handed the contract to Baby2Baby, created 12 taxpayer funded positions for them, manufactures diapers in Mexico through an "unnamed" supplier and set up an oversight committee exempt from California open meetings law. My thoughts and prayers are with the pilot and all of the Marines at MCAS Miramar following this morning's F-35 crash on base. I am grateful the pilot was able to eject safely and is receiving medical care. San Diego stands with our military community today and every day. Wishing the pilot a full and speedy recovery.

Principals across the district submitted over 100 safety requests including speed bumps, crosswalks and lighting. The city has a budget crisis, a decade-old Vision Zero program that has not worked and traffic deaths that have actually increased since it launched. Conversations are not enough. Two Thirds of Californians Oppose Newsom's Gas Car Ban. He Is Pushing It Anyway! A new poll in opposition to banning gas cars by 2035 shows 67 percent of Californians oppose banning gas cars by 2035, a 17 point jump in opposition since Newsom announced the plan. Only one in three Californians are even considering an EV. Voters Passed Prop 36. The Democratic Supermajority Passed On Funding It. @SheriffJCooper said it best. Without funding it does not go anywhere. The overwhelming majority of California voters demanded real consequences for repeat thieves and drug dealers. The supermajority said noted and moved on. #FixCalifornia

Newsom Does Not Want You Driving a Gas Car. He Is Using Your Tax Dollars to Make Sure of It. He blocked our gas tax holiday while Californians pay $5.49 a gallon. He closed refineries. He raised the gas tax again on July 1. And now he is offering rebates funded by gas car drivers to push everyone into an electric vehicle. This is not about affordability. California Spends $36 Billion on Medi-Cal for Working Adults. Now They Want to Tax Businesses to Cover It. Instead of asking why California extended Medi-Cal to undocumented immigrants and drove up costs for everyone, Newsom signed a bill directing the state to study charging large employers for workers on Medi-Cal.
