I was shocked by the news about Senator Graham this morning. The man was a joy to serve with. I just can’t imagine going to work in the Senate without Lindsey. I’m so sad for his family and pray for them to feel God’s love as they mourn their loss.

What’s so great about Valley City’s World War II Heritage City designation isn’t that we just honor the past—it’s that we’re reminded how to live in the future as free people. The best way we can honor those who sacrificed is by preserving the freedoms they fought to secure and inspiring future generations to protect them. Today, Steve King, Barnes County Historical Society president, emphasized the reality that Valley City didn’t do one thing extraordinary, but the collective of the entire community’s efforts made the difference.

The 91st Missile Wing at @TeamMinot is at the heart of America’s nuclear deterrent, standing watch every day to keep our nation safe. We passed the CLARITY Act out of committee with a bipartisan vote, and now Democrats are insisting on ethics language simply because @realdonaldtrump is President and has been successful in business. That’s something the White House is going to have to work out with Democrats.

Joined @MorningsMaria to discuss the path forward for the SAVE America Act and Reconciliation 3.0. Attaching the SAVE America Act to defense spending or another vehicle before the midterms would take some legislative gymnastics. We don’t have an agreement on Reconciliation 3.0 yet—but I believe we need to get it done.

President Trump has done a masterful job of bringing @NATO back to the true spirit of the alliance. @POTUS sees Turkey as an opportunity to strengthen NATO. The F-35 is the world’s most sophisticated fighter jet, and bringing a NATO ally closer to us—and farther from Vladimir Putin—makes the alliance stronger. Turkey is better with us than against us.

The Red River divides North Dakota and Minnesota, and the bridges joining them are essential to these rural sister communities. Joined @Newsmax to celebrate the opening of the @TRPresLibrary. Theodore Roosevelt came to Medora to heal after personal tragedy, and the Badlands helped shape the leader, conservationist, and president he became. It’s only fitting America now honors his legacy right where it began.
