For several sessions members of the MOFC fought for & filed legislation to end income tax! After years of fighting we are one stop closer to heading down the path to zeroing out this egregious tax! From filing the legislation, negotiating, and now voting it out - this is the way!

Fake news is a funny thing. Recently a group started spreading a lie that an old law (unchanged in SB888) is allowing parents to be arrested and imprisoned for not vaccinating their kids. This is false. If this was anywhere close to the truth (which it would obviously is not) I would have modified the law years ago as it would conflict with my beliefs and would violate sacred individual freedoms and liberties. Here’s the truth: 1) the law is decades old; 2) the elements of the law were unchanged in SB 888; 3) no person or parent has been or could be charged under this law given the elements of the crime and mens rea required; 4) endangering the welfare of a child in the 1st degree was merely included with other current laws in a list of dangerous felonies (along with sex trafficking, human trafficking, rape, child molestation, etc) Please stop spreading mistruths in an attempt to kill legally sound legislation needing to Make Missouri Safe Again by zeroing in on violent felons and pedophiles. Thank you to Missouri Association of Prosecuting Attorneys for setting the record, and the law, straight. It is strange that one person circulating this lie received a cease and desist last year for spreading known lies about me in an attempt to attack my character and image. It’s clear they have no understanding of the law.
