The members and staff of the AR Senate mourn the passing of Senator Gary Stubblefield, 74, who died on Tuesday, Sept. 2.  Sen. Stubblefield was elected to the Senate in 2012, after serving two terms in the House of Representatives. He represented Senate District 26. #arleg

Senator Missy Irvin and Representative Charlene Fite were joined by Governor Sanders for Christmas at the Capitol providing gifts for Arkansas Department of Children and Family Services.

Sen. Steve Crowell talks to Boys State delegates about the legislative process. The boys were at the Capitol for a mock session and to learn about government, in a program organized by the American Legion to teach young people about government.

Sen. Tyler Dees helps Boys State delegates during a mock legislative session Friday at the Capitol. The American Legion sponsors Boys State to provide high school students with hands-on experience in government and the democratic process.

Sen. Linda Chesterfield was honored by the Senate on the final day of the fiscal session, and the final day of her legislative career unless a special session is necessary. With her is her husband, Emry, and Rep. Jamie Scott, who will replace Chesterfield.

Sen. Bart Hester waits to speak to the Senate after his re-election as President Pro Tem for the next biennium. He will be sworn in as Pro Tem on the first day of the 2025 legislative session.

SR27 Senator Linda Chesterfield memorialized Dr. O. Jerome Green, the former President of Shorter College.

Senator Mark Johnson recognized Randy Hankins with his wife Jane Hankins. Randy is known on TV and Radio as Craig O’Neill.

Senator Jonathan Dismang recognized the Harding University Bisons Football team as the 2023 NCAA Division II National Champions.
