Today I signed S.51, which includes tax breaks for workers, families and seniors. It also fully exempts military retirement income up to $125,000 and tapers off for those receiving more. This income tax exemption is something I and many others have long advocated for.


It's long overdue to transform our education system to give our schools, students, and taxpayers a better path without forcing property tax increases and budget cuts year after year.








Today, the House passed H.454, which is their educational transformation bill. This bill is nowhere near perfect due to the cost, timeline and more. However, we all agree that education transformation is needed this session.
