As part of our ongoing efforts to promote dialogue and foster peace across Zamfara State and northern Nigeria, yesterday in Talata Mafara, we hosted an eminent gathering of revered Islamic Scholars, Quran Reciters, and esteemed community leaders from all 14 Local Government Areas, 19 Emirates, and 147 Wards of Zamfara. Led by Malam Abdul’Malik Yahuza (Garkuwan Malaman Gusau), we collectively prayed for peace, blessings, and prosperity for Zamfara State and our dear country, Nigeria. May the blessings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) be upon us. Ameen.

My late father, Alhaji Abubakar Yari, was my greatest inspiration. Baba’s teachings, lessons, and faith have helped to shape the person that I am today. Yesterday, I spent some time at Baba’s gravesite at Talata Mafara Central Cemetery to pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) continues to grant him a place among the righteous in Al Jannah Firdaus. Ameen.

Transportation infrastructure provides lifelines for developing communities. Recognizing this need, I made a promise to the people of Bardoki in Gummi Local Government Area: to bridge the gap that isolated their community. The lack of a bridge hindered their access to essential goods, services, and opportunities — stifling aspects of their development. Today, I am proud to announce that my promise has been fulfilled. The bridge has been completed. I am confident that it will serve as a catalyst for progress and prosperity in Bardoki and beyond.

Yesterday, it was a great honor for me to host the former Governor of Zamfara State and the distinguished senator representing Zamfara West, Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Mafara) @SenatorAAYari at the Sokoto State Government House. The senator visited Sokoto to oversee the ceremonial launch of the new Sokoto State inter-local government transportation vehicles and buses for religious organizations. This initiative aims to enhance the smooth transportation of goods and properties between the local governments.

In commemoration of our one-year anniversary, it was with profound respect that we welcomed the former Governor of Zamfara State and the esteemed senator representing Zamfara West, Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Mafara) @SenatorAAYari, who graciously presided over the ceremonial launch of the new Sokoto State inter-local government transportation vehicles, as well as buses dedicated to religious organizations. This initiative is designed to streamline the movement of goods and properties across the local governments, thereby enhancing logistical efficiency. Furthermore, I am pleased to announce that ten units of 18-seater buses have been distributed to various religious groups to support their transportation needs during religious events. As a responsive and forward-thinking administration, we are committed to the relentless pursuit of positioning Sokoto State at the forefront of development for the benefit of its citizenry. Our focus remains steadfast on human-centered projects that ensure the translation of development to the grassroots level.

As he mourns the passing of his dear elder brother, the late Mallam Salihu Amadu Ribadu, who passed away last week, I paid a condolence visit to the National Security Adviser, Mallam @NuhuRibadu, to offer my sympathies for this significant loss.

Permit me to bring to your attention the remarkable and commendable actions of Senator Abdulazeez Yari, the man of the people, a man of integrity, who always shows love for his constituents. Despite the challenges of hardship, high living costs, border closures, and scarcity of essential goods, Senator Abdulazeez Yari has undertaken a beautiful and praiseworthy initiative. Senator Yari has provided aid in the form of rice, sugar, beans, Semovita, semolina, millet, sorghum, maize, grains, wheat, and other essential foods to nearly 1,250,000 people across his constituency and beyond in Zamfara State. This program, a community-based initiative, has reached 250,000 households through 358 trucks, covering approximately 147 wards. These beneficiaries have been carefully identified by community members and leaders, including Imams, community kingsmen, women of integrity, youth leaders, newly married couples, and elderly individuals. It is truly heartwarming to see such selfless service to humanity. Senator Yari's dedication to his people, treating them with the utmost respect and care, is an example we should all aspire to. His understanding of the value of elections and democracy is evident in his actions. We are fortunate to have leaders like @SenatorAAYari former governor Sen. Abdulazeez Yari, who embody the spirit of service and compassion. I join many others in hopes that one day, Senator Yari will serve in even higher capacities, perhaps as the Senate President or even the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
