The Trump administration has threatened to withhold millions in federal funding and undermine critical food assistance for thousands of Coloradans unless the state complies with his political demands. Democrats offered clean legislation to keep critical agencies funded while negotiations continue, and Republicans turned it down. It's time to pay federal workers that keep us safe and protect our national security.

The Taliban must release Dennis Coyle, a wrongfully detained U.S. citizen from Pueblo, Colorado who worked tirelessly to improve the lives of the Afghan people. I join other bipartisan colleagues in welcoming this designation, and will continue working with them to reunite Dennis with his loved ones.
