#NEW: @GovKathyHochul has signed S739A, my bill with @SandyGalef, to allow lay individuals to be designated as one-day marriage officiants. This bill will provide New York couples with the opportunity to have a loved one officiate their marriage.

I’d like to thank @GovKathyHochul for signing this important legislation, and thank Assembly sponsor @AmyPaulin, my legislative colleagues, and the dedicated advocates for their tireless work in supporting survivors. New York is a safer place for survivors thanks to you all.

#NEW: @GovKathyHochul has signed S7867A, my bill to establish a statewide electronic tracking system for rape kits. This system will restore agency to survivors by allowing them access to information on the status of their rape kit if and when they are ready.
