It was great meeting with leaders from the Berks County Intermediate Unit (BCIU) for their advocacy day. Their work, especially in preschool early intervention, is so important. Addressing issues early can make a meaningful difference in a child’s life later on.

Happy National Agriculture Day! I had a great start to the day with Lebanon FFA at the Pennsylvania FFA Legislative Breakfast. I’m always grateful for the opportunity to support our agricultural community and the next generation of leaders in agriculture.

I enjoyed meeting with students from the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center and hearing about their experiences with technical education. These young men and women are making a smart choice by gaining valuable skills that will give them a head start in the workforce.

Cutting outdated regulations for farmers, the Senate approved a measure giving them greater flexibility to safely drive more farm vehicles on roadways at night, reflecting the real-world demands of modern farming. Read more: bit.ly/4bU9IyZ

I enjoyed attending the Cedar Crest FFA Annual Banquet this week. I continue to be impressed by these outstanding young men and women and the leadership they demonstrate.

I was pleased to present a Senate citation to Lebanon County’s own Olivia Morrissey in recognition of being crowned the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐬𝐲𝐥𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐧. Congratulations to Olivia on this outstanding accomplishment. Lebanon County is proud of you.

Berks County kicked off its yearlong celebration on March 11, leading up to the county’s 275th anniversary in 2027. I was pleased to attend this special event and learn more about the rich history of Berks County.

Happy to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Lebanon Rescue Mission’s expansion project off Bittner Boulevard in the city. The Agape Safe Haven project will provide additional space for women, children, and seniors in need of safe shelter.
