Serving the people of Onslow County has been one of the greatest honors of my life, Together, we’ve made real progress improving local infrastructure, cutting red tape for families and small businesses, and standing up for the men and women who serve our country. On this Good Friday, we remember Christ’s ultimate sacrifice on the cross and the depth of His love for us. May we reflect on His grace and walk in faith today and always.

Senator Phil Berger’s leadership has left a lasting mark on North Carolina. Over my last three terms, I’ve seen firsthand his steady hand, commitment to conservative principles, and ability to get things done for our state. Under his leadership, North Carolina has been recognized as one of the top states in the nation to do business. More importantly, he’s been a true friend and mentor, never once telling me “no” when it came to fighting for the needs of our district. His guidance has made me a better legislator and delivered real results for the people I serve. Grateful for his service to our great state.

Strong partnerships between our local communities and our military installations are essential. I remain committed to working together to ensure eastern North Carolina continues to thrive while maintaining the highest quality of life for those who defend our nation.

I appreciated the opportunity to speak alongside Col. Gregory Pace and Ed Dillard as we focused on smart growth, infrastructure, and ways we can continue supporting the men and women who serve — along with their families.

Honored to join community and military leaders at Marine Corps Air Station New River this week for an important discussion on strengthening our region’s future.

Mike earned the respect of those around him through his work ethic and straightforward approach. He will be missed in the legislature and beyond. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time.

North Carolina lost a strong and principled voice with the passing of #NCGA Rep. Mike Clampitt. He was someone who showed up every day ready to serve — always focused on doing right by the people he represented.

Our goal is simple: protect taxpayers, promote fairness, and deliver thoughtful, responsible solutions for North Carolina families.

For years, @MyNCSenate colleagues and I have worked to lower taxes and practice responsible budgeting. We believe those same common-sense principles can help address rising property tax burdens locally as well.

I’ve heard from many homeowners who are concerned about property tax revaluations and what they mean for families. We take these concerns very seriously. During the upcoming #NCGA short session, legislation will be filed to halt all property tax revaluation changes for 12 months.

This is well deserved — and I know he will serve on the bench with integrity and fairness. We’re all very proud of you, Judge Naylor.

Johnathon is not only an outstanding attorney, but a true servant of our community. I’ve had the opportunity to see firsthand his dedication to Onslow County and the people of eastern NC. He’s worked hard, earned the respect of his peers, and I’m proud to call him a friend.
