Girls advance to Sectionals after a great day of racing at Legion Park! Boys end up missing out by a heartbreaking 11 points, but still advance Hamza Bati, Tobin Schiller, and Muntadher Al Maeena as individual qualifiers @SennHS @SennAthletics

Had an awesome time at the Lakes Sunset meet last Friday with 12/13 runners hitting a new PR! Excited to see how this group runs at the @CPLAthletics XC Championships tomorrow! @SennHS @SennAthletics

Had a great time volunteering at an Elite aid station on Sunday at the @ChiMarathon!

Solid race with lots of PRs! Shout out to senior Lucy Toft who ran a PR time of 13:56, good enough to earn a 6th place finish amongst senior girls. This group is showing lots of growth, and we're excited to see how the second half of the season goes! @SennHS @SennAthletics

Great moment at Proviso East 3A Sectional on Thu. Seniors and friends Tedros Mekonen (Senn) and Yasir Hirsi (Mather) finish 1-2 in 3200m run & qualify for STATE. They took 24th & 25th at STATE in 2A in XC, the last two All-State spots. Have one last HS race together next Sat.

All-State!!! @TedrosMekonen1 takes 24th place with a PR of 15:18 @SennHS @SennAthletics

To put this in context, @TedrosMekonen1 is our first State Medalist in XC (and only 2nd in school history) since Steve Szabo in 1964. We might have to bring those uniforms back! @SennHS @SennAthletics
