Seeing the other games and realizing that, yeah, this is why I was hesitant about Carolina in round one. Not saying it’d be easy against Buffalo but experience is so valuable. Carolina knows the exact way to play and don’t give an inch. Zero mistakes. Sucks but that’s the cost of digging a hole early.

Not a headline yet, but a developing storyline in this series is how much better Carolina’s 4th line has been that Ottawa’s. Barely noticing Zetterlund out there. He should be a difference maker in those minutes. Eller has done well on draws (77%, 66%) but that’s it.

I’ll come around to the positives. Still a lot to take from the games in Raleigh. They are right there with this Hurricanes team. But man that stings. Best players had the game on their stick several times and couldn’t end it. Absolutely sucks.
