Yesterday, we celebrated our 30th with 230 changemakers, including HRH Princess Royal! 🎈 We’ve supported 1 million people with deafblindness since 1994. But with 157 million living with deafblindness, our work isn’t done. Become a changemaker today 🌍 bit.ly/3KZCGiX

Happy International Day of Persons with Disabilities! To mark this day, we asked our team one question: “What does disability inclusion mean to you?” Their answers reflect our shared belief that every child and adult deserves respect, opportunity and a world where they belong.

Happy #InternationalDayOfSignLanguages Fingerspelling is an aspect of sign language using individual letters signed out on the hand to spell words. To celebrate, why not give it a go yourself! Have a go at signing “Hi, my name is...” - record the conversation and tag us!

I don’t think there’s anything that I admire more than the strength of a woman who is raising a child with disability. That cannot be an easy thing.Shoutout to moms raising kids with disabilities - you're incredibly strong & deserve all the love & support in the world 🤍

27th JUNE is OFFICIALLY INTERNATIONAL DAY of DEAFBLINDNESS! At #COSP18 during the side event titled “27th June – Day of Deafblindness,” Sanja Tarczay from World Federation of the Deafblind (WFDB) and various stakeholders expressed strong support for the official recognition of June 27th as the International Day of Deafblindness. The proposed observance aims to acknowledge deafblindness as a distinct disability group and to encourage Member States to identify and address the unique barriers faced by persons who are deafblind. The event underscored the importance of visibility, inclusion, and policy attention for this often-overlooked community. It was emphasized that June 27th is not just any date—it marks the birthday of the late Helen Keller, the renowned author, disability rights advocate, and educator who was herself deafblind. Her life and legacy continue to inspire efforts to advance the rights and recognition of people with deafblindness globally. Today, the UN General Assembly has officially declared 27th June as the International Day of Deafblindness. @WFDeafBlind @IDA_CRPD_Forum
