I saw this clip several times, so I want to say: I know that there are legitimate worries about immigrants in my country, but forcing a community to treat their dead in a way antithetical to their religion is a level of cruelty that no civilized nation should boast about.

The Maryland Supreme Court is majority republican and they’ve already struck this down. If Dems try it again, the Court could very well get fed up and force them to give republicans another seat instead (the state is already gerrymandered and it’s very easy to draw 2-3 R seats)
