I watched the fight from London. Evander was one of my favorite fighters and human beings on the planet. He lost the Championship bout and it didn’t sit right with my spirit. I knew what needed to be done to make him World Champion again.
Certain principles can be extrapolated to all disciplines. I called Evander from London and offered to meet him when I returned to America and discuss my strategy for his roadmap back to World Champion.
We met and I signed on as his new manager.
We took two tuneups and then fought Bowe in Vegas for the title. WE WON !!! One of my finest moments and memories. 🙏🏽🤎
