just to be clear this isn't a trump-sponsored thing at all, they do it every year. the issue here is the same issue as any american nationalism in the current climate, but all athletes are lowkey propaganda tools in the US (hence why the ban shld be extended to us too!)

It’s not the most famous Inaugural but I’ve always had a soft spot for Bill Clinton’s 1993 line, “There is nothing wrong with America that cannot be cured by what is right with America.” It’s an appropriate thing to take heart to as we look back on 250 years, and work ahead.
