I'm seeing quite a few vtubers gone at over irl them vs their models so I am figuring this MAY need address since I am doing more hand cam streams! I know people have noticed I am paler compared to my model. Let's talk about why(its a lot...) In 2008 I had a severe heat stroke that landed me in the Temporary clinic at the Bristol Motor Speedway. It was heavily advised that I was taken to the ER, but because I was coherent and didnt want to go (at the time I was scared of hospitals because of my repetitive head injuries landing me there frequently...) so I didn't go. From then I started getting really bad migraines. It wasn't frequent enough for my mom and aunt/god mom to worry about, but sometimes it came with spells of what they thought were "spacing out" only about 9 years later I find out I was having absence seizures. In 2015 my migraines turned into severe chronic migraines. I was having these migraines every day some days were worse than the rest and at some points left me blind for most of the day. On top of this, because of the severity of these migraines it made my seizures more active and worse. I became effectively trapped inside except being able to go work in a dark environment (dark rooms as a prep cook or in a factory) this went on until 2024 when I was finally able to get to a better doctor who sent me to a specialist. Because I was trapped indoors and in darker spaces for close to 10 years I developed a vitamin D deficiency which not only affected my health, but also caused my skin pigment to lighten. I am starting an all new treatment for my migraines next month to hopefully enable me to be able to go out and about more and to hopefully get rid of these migraines so i get them MUCH less and less severely. My models skin is made to show the real me not the sick me. I had many friends outside of vtubing help me find the proper colour examples for my models skin so it would follow my original skin tone I inherited from my grandmother and her grandmothers and grandfathers. I'm sorry this is a bit out of nowhere, but I believe in full transparency with my community and those who may join my community. Thank you if you've read this far and still choose to support me!
