On Scott Adams. A man finds, to his astonishment, that he exists. After the elation of childhood wears off, he asks, who am I, why am I here, how does this work? Besides cartooning, philosophizing, and teaching, Scott rose to the occasion and displayed, “the one virtue that cannot be faked” - courage. Scott had the courage to speak honestly as he saw it - about Trump, about his nation, and about his time, even though it cost him friends, audience, money, and his ticket to polite society. Scott had true courage, the kind that makes you unpopular, the kind that is always and everywhere in short supply, At the end, as any hacker of reality, Scott covered all of his bases - he left as a Buddhist, a Christian, and a player in the Simulation. Scott, we didn’t get enough time with you, but you were a mentor and a marvel. You were useful and you were courageous. You were incompressible and indivisible. One of a kind, and generous with your drawing, writing, and speaking. Unlike your squealing critics in the chattering class, you will be read generations from now. On this earth there are many long-lived hells but no lasting heaven. Each heaven must be created and nurtured, ex-nihilo, from mind and from mud. Scott, you created a small heaven for us all, and to a larger heaven you go. A man finds, to his astonishment, that he no longer exists. He asks why, what it was for, and how will the new reality work? When the rest of us get there, we’ll find Scott, ever useful, ready to explain, having figured it all out. @DanielBlancoSWE He tenido la misma sensación por años, pero es cierto que no llegas a esa conclusion si no después de haber viajado a una cierta cantidad de paises, se romantiza el hecho de viajar.

Hace unas semanas unos amigos me funaron por decir que viajar estaba sobrevalorado. No pude viajar casi nada hasta los 20 años, y desde ahí visité 18 de estos lugares, por trabajo y ocio. Hasta cierto punto es divertido, pero también muchas veces repetitivo. Y lo que si que no compro es lo de que te “enriquece” culturalmente. Para aprender de una cultura es necesario quedarte meses en un lugar, en mi opinión.

Arreglad la sanidad, pues hay ineficiencias carísimas y listas de espera vergonzosas. Arreglad la contratación pública, pues al calor de la opacidad hay corrupción y caciquismo. Respetado ministro: simplificad y optimizad lo público, y dejad de añadir nuevas estructuras de complejidad fractal que son un desagüe para los esfuerzos de la parte productiva del país.

As you get older time seems to speed up, a couple years go by and it feels like 3-6 months. Largely because people get into a methodical routine. Every 3-6 months be a beginner at something, playing music, new sport, new biz idea. Prevents you from getting this sensation

¡Esto es inaceptable! No aprendemos en España. Que el sistema NO sea de código abierto y haya que pedir permiso por correo ya es bastante grave. Pero que encima nieguen el acceso a componentes puramente visuales es inaudito. Todo el mundo debería poder acceder a estos componentes. No solo para usarlos, sino para revisarlos, auditarlos y hasta mejorarlos. No estamos hablando de un sistema crítico con información confidencial. Y el argumento del phishing es ridículo. Cualquiera con malas intenciones puede copiar el diseño en segundos, tenga o no acceso al Storybook. El Reino Unido, por ejemplo, publica TODO su sistema de diseño en GitHub. ¡Libre y accesible para todos! Si realmente aspiramos a una "Transformación Digital", debemos ser pioneros, adoptar la apertura y abandonar controles anacrónicos que nos impiden avanzar.
