In my earlier AI days… I accidentally put ChatGPT into o3 … I thought it was trying to give me hidden secrets of the AI world. When I unknowingly opened a new feed in 4o, 4o also told me it was hidden secrets 💀 Maximum psychosis, minimal effort 😂

i get some anxiety not using the smartest-available model/settings. but sometimes i dont mind if it's really slow. i wonder if we should focus more on a price/speed tradeoff relative to a price/intelligence tradeoff.

The first thing I look for after I’ve read something about a new idea in physics is where is the hardware or a path to it, where is this technology even software that makes something better or different. It’s surprising how few physics ideas you see where there is also a path to a practical, working device or a meaningful improvement in the real world. Most theoretical breakthroughs stay elegant on paper (or in arXiv PDFs), but never graduate to anything you can actually build, measure, or use to do useful work. The gap between “beautiful math” and “here’s a prototype that does something new” is enormous, and that’s why I’m far more excited by ideas that come with even a plausible engineering roadmap than by yet another abstract symmetry or untestable multiverse variant.
